KSH: the yield of wheat and corn increased last year
Last year, the yield of wheat increased by 25 percent, while the the yield of maize increased by 41 percent, compared to 2012 – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) announced on Wednesday.
According to the communication of the Central Statistics Office (KSH), the yield of the most important autumn harvested crops was higher in 2013 than in 2012 – with the exception of potato and sugar beet.
At the same time, the 6 million 725 thousand harvested tons amount of corn is lower than the average of the 2008-2012 years by 7 percent. (MTI)
