KSH: the decline in consumer prices has stopped
In July, the inflation rate was 0.1 percent, after in the previous three months consumer prices declined, compared with a year earlier. Compared to June, the prices rose by 0.2 percent – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Tuesday.
London financial analysts expected an annual inflation around zero in July, but there were both slight decline in prices and increase in prices among the projections.
The prices of household energy, clothing and footwear, food products and consumer durable goods decreased, compared with a year earlier, while alcoholic beverages, tobacco goods, services and fuels become more expensive. (MTI)
