KSH: the foreign trade turnover increased in March
In March the value of exports in euros was 12.9 percent, while the value of imports increased by 9.8 percent, compared with the previous year, while in February the exports increased by 6.0 percent and imports increased by 6.1 percent. In March, the trade balance surplus increased by 288 million euros to 929 million euros, compared to a year before – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on the basis of its first estimate.
The exports have reached a double-digit annual growth for the first time since April 2013. In March, the value of exports was 8.3 billion euros (2,513 billion HUF) and the value of imports was 7.3 billion euros (2,231 billion HUF). In the first quarter, exports grew by 7.7, while imports increased by 5.7 percent, while the trade surplus amounted to 2,486 billion euros, 530 million more than a year ago. (MTI)
