KSH: agricultural producer prices moderated in March
In March, the producer price level of agricultural products declined by 4.1 percent, compared to the previous year, including the price of crop products fell by 11.7 percent, while the producer price level of live animals and animal products increased by 14.7 percent – announced the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Wednesday.
The price of cereals was 14.3 percent lower in March 2012, than in the same period of 2011.
The producer price level of slaughtered animals in March was 13.8 percent higher, compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the first quarter the agricultural producer prices fell by 2.3 percent, while agricultural input price level was 5.4 percent higher, compared to the same period of the previous year.
According to KSH, the price of cereals was 14.3 percent lower in March, than in the same period of 2011. (MTI)
