KSH: traffic continued to increased at commercial accommodations in March
Thanks to the foreign guests, the number of guest nights continued to increased at hotels, giving almost 90 percent of the traffic, in which the role of the four-star hotels is determining, while the traffic at five-star hotels decreased in March – announced the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Wednesday.
In March, 4.9 percent more foreign visitors spent 6.1 percent more (650 thousand) guest nights in commercial accommodations.
In case of five-star hotels, the number of foreign guests in March decreased by 15, the number of overnight stays fell by 12 percent, – especially in Budapest – where the February bankruptcy of Malév affected the figures of March badly. (MTI)
