KSH: tourism increased in May again
In May, the number of nights spent by foreign visitors increased by 2.2 percent, while the number of nights spent by domestic tourists decreased by 0.4 percent, compared to a year before.
Thus, the total turnover exceeded last year’s May data by 1.0 percent, after the 1.6 percent decline of April – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Monday. The decline in April was due to the Easter effect; last year Easter was in April, but this year the Easter holiday was in March. (MTI)
