KSH: in May, the gross average salary was 702,800 forints, 7.8 percent higher than a year earlier
In May, the average gross salary of full-time employees was 702,800 forints, and the average net salary was 483,000 forints. The average gross salary was 7.8 percent, the average net salary was 7.7 percent, and the real salary was 3.2 percent higher than a year earlier, while consumer prices increased by 4.4 percent compared to the same period last year, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Wednesday.
The median gross salary was 562,300 forints, and the median net salary was 391,200 forints, exceeding the same periods last year by 7.9 and 8.2 percent, respectively.
In May, the regular average gross salary (without bonuses, rewards, and monthly special allowances) was 660,000 forints, which is 8.6 percent more than in the same period last year. The regular gross average salary in enterprises was 657,700 forints, in the budget 656,400, and in the non-profit sector 691,800, increasing by 8.1 and 9.8 percent, respectively, in one year.
In January-May, the gross average salary of full-time employees was 690,500 forints, and the net average salary was 474,500 forints. The gross average salary exceeded the value of the same period of the previous year by 9.0 percent, while the net salary exceeded the value of the same period of the previous year by 8.9 percent.
