KSH: the number of guest nights decreased by 92.7 percent in May
In May, as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the number of nights spent by foreign guests in commercial accommodation fell by 98.4 percent and the number of nights spent by domestic guests by 85.9 percent year-on-year. The turnover of accommodation establishments decreased by 92.7 percent – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Tuesday.
The total gross sales revenue of commercial accommodation establishments, calculated at current prices, was 93.4 percent lower than in May last year, amounting to 3.3 billion HUF. Within this, accommodation fee revenue fell by almost 95 percent to 1.55 billion HUF in May. (MTI)
