KSH: slowdown in agricultural producer prices in June
In June, the agriculrural producer prices were 2.5 percent higher than a year before, following a 4.5 percent rise in May. The price of plant products fell by 3.1 percent, compared to the previous month, and the purchasing price of live animals and animal products rose by 12.7 percent, after the 15.7 percent of May – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Tuesday.
The price of cereals decreased by 7.2 percent, compared to June last year, potatoes were cheaper by 21.4 percent, while the price of vegetables decreased by only 0.8 percent. The price of fruits increased by 17.7 percent. (MTI)
