KSH: inflation slowed down in September
In September, consumer prices were on average 2.5 percent higher than last year, after the 2.6 percent of the previous month. Compared to August, prices increased by an average of 0.1 percent, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced.
Over the past year, spirits, tobacco and automotive fuels and food grew to the greatest extent. The price of food rose by 3.1 percent, compared to September last year, with a 5.3 percent increase in fuels.
The seasonally adjusted annual core inflation was 2.9 percent, compared to the same period of last year, rising further from the 2.8 percent in August. (MTI)
