KSH: the rise in agricultural producer prices has slowed
Thanks to a sharp slowdown in the prices of vegetables, fruits and potatoes, the annual rate of increase in agricultural producer prices slowed down from the 8.1 percent of July to 4.2 percent in August, according to the latest data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Friday. The rise in prices of livestock and livestock products remained at a similar level to the previous four months.
Prices for crop and horticultural products were on average 1.5 percent higher than in August last year, after rising 7.6 percent last month. The lowest price increase since March last year was around 13 percent at the beginning of the year. (MTI)
