KSH: tourism increased significantly in May
In May, 18 percent more foreign tourists spent 16.4 percent more guest nights at commercial accommodation, compared to May 2012. The number of domestic guests increased by 12.1 percent, their guest nights increased by 9.7 percent – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) reported on Wednesday.
The guest traffic of the commercial accommodations increased by 15.2 percent, the number of overnight stays increased by 13.7 percent. In May a number of prestigious international events were held in Hungary – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) added. In May, 457 thousand foreign tourists spent a total of 1 million 241 thousand guest nights in commercial accommodations. (MTI)
