KSH: the growth of retail sales stopped in June
After the growth of the last two months, the volume of retail sales fell in June, compared to a year earlier. According to the calendar-adjusted datas, turnover was 0.4 percent lower than in June 2012. According to the unadjusted raw datas, the decline was 0.9 percent – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) announced on Monday.
In June, the volume of food sales was 1.9, the sales volume of non-food items was 0.5 percent lower than a year ago. However, the consumption of fuel is rising for three months, in June by 2.4 percent, after the 5.5 percent of May and the 6.5 percent growth of April. The food sales in April increased by 3.1 percent, and in May rose by 0.9 percent. (MTI)
