KSH: accelerated growth in retail sales in June
In June, retail sales rose by 7.2 percent in volume compared with a year before, after the previous month's 4.4 percent increase – the second estimate of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) was published on Thursday. The data corresponds to the first estimate.
The calendar-adjusted data shows an annual increase of 6.2 percent after the 5.4 percent growth of May. Retail sales grow uninterruptedly in Hungary since July 2013.
The calendar effect adjusted volume of retail trade increased by 4.5 percent in food retail and by 8.1 percent in non-food retail 8.1 and by 9.0 percent in fuel sales. (MTI)
