According to the KSH report, the volume of sales adjusted for calendar effects increased by 3.2 percent in food and food-type mixed stores, by 3.6 percent in non-food retail, and by 0.5 percent in fuel retail.
In January-June 2024, the volume of traffic exceeded the same period of the previous year by 2.7 percent – according to data also adjusted for calendar effects.
In June, compared to the same period of the previous year, the volume of turnover in food and food-related mixed retail increased by 3.2 percent. The sales volume of food-type mixed stores, which account for 75 percent of food retail sales, increased by 4.1 percent, and that of food, beverage, and tobacco specialty stores by 0.4 percent.
The turnover volume of non-food retail increased by 3.6 percent overall. The volume of sales increased by 7.3 percent in pharmaceutical, medical product, and perfume stores, by 2.9 percent in furniture and technical goods stores, by 1.4 percent in textile, clothing, and footwear stores, and by 3 percent in book, computer technology, and other industrial goods stores. .5, it decreased by 4.7 percent in industrial goods-type mixed stores, and 5.2 percent in second-hand goods stores.
