KSH: the number of guest nights decreased by 75.2 percent in June
As a result of the coronavirus pandemic in June, the number of nights spent by foreign guests in commercial accommodation fell by 93.2 percent and the number of nights spent by domestic guests by 59.2 percent year-on-year. The turnover of accommodation establishments measured per guest night decreased by 75.2 percent – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Friday.
The total gross sales revenue of commercial accommodation establishments, calculated at current prices, was 77.0 percent lower than in June last year, amounting to 12 billion HUF. Of this, accommodation revenue income decreased by 81 percent to 6.3 billion HUF, and hospitality income to 4 billion HUF. (MTI)
