Due to the 3.5 percent rise in the price of crop products and the 1.8 percent price decline of live animals and animal products, the agricultural producer prices increased by 1.5 percent in June, compared to the same month of the previous year – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Monday.
The price of wheat decreased by 10 percent, while the price of corn increased by 24 percent so the price of cereals increased by a total of 8.7 percent in June. However, the report considers it important to note that corn harvesting has not yet started. (MTI)
