KSH: agricultural producer price level rose in June by 1.5 percent
In June, the producer price of agricultural products grew by 1.5 percent, compared to a year earlier. While the price of crop products fell by 1.7 percent, the price of live animals and animal products increased by 8.9 percent – announced the the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Wednesday.
The price of cereals in June was 7.1 percent lower than in the same period of 2011. The price of wheat and corn stagnated compared to the previous months.
The producer price of vegetables rose by 16.0 percent in June on an annual comparision.
The price of fruits, after five months of decline turned to increase and grew by 7.3 percent, compared to the same period of last year. (MTI)
