KSH: industrial production rose by 0.6 percent in June
In June, industrial production rose by 0.6 percent, compared to the previous year, both on the basis of unadjusted and working-days adjusted datas – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Wednesday. Compared to the output of May, industrial output in June fell by 2.2 percent. Industrial output in the first half of the year was 0.4 percent below the output of the same period of last year.
The industry's domestic sales volume was 1.9 percent below the previous year’s and declines for four months. However, the annual growth rate of exports accelerated to 6.2 percent, from the 1.6 percent of May. Due to the impact of exports, the sales of industrial goods increased by 2.7 percent from a year earlier. (MTI)
