In July 2025, the volume of industrial production fell by 1.0 percent from a year earlier. The index adjusted for working days is the same as the unadjusted one, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) confirmed in its second estimate released on Friday.

A decline occurred in most of the manufacturing sub-sectors.

Based on seasonally and working day adjusted data, industrial output was 2.0 percent higher than in June 2025.

In July 2025, the volume of industrial exports was 1.3 percent lower than a year earlier. Vehicle production, which represents 32 percent of manufacturing export sales, decreased by 1.5 percent, while the production of computer, electronic and optical products, which accounts for 14 percent, increased by 16.2 percent.

Domestic sales in industry decreased by 5.3 percent, and in manufacturing by 1.7 percent, compared to the same month of the previous year.

The production of the manufacturing industry, which accounts for the majority (96 percent) of the industry, fell by 0.5 percent, that of the mining industry, which has a minor share, fell by 8.5 percent, and that of the energy industry (electricity, gas, steam supply, air conditioning) fell by 7.2 percent.

The Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported that the volume of vehicle production, which accounts for the largest share and represents 26 percent of the manufacturing industry production, increased by 0.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. The production of road vehicles decreased by 1.8 percent, and the production of road vehicle components by 2.3 percent.

The production of computers, electronics, and optical products, which accounts for 12 percent of the manufacturing industry production, exceeded the level of last July by 28 percent. Considering the two largest sub-sectors, the production of computers and peripheral units expanded by 60 percent, while the production of electronic components and circuit boards decreased by 2.7 percent.

The production of electrical equipment, which accounts for 9.4 percent of manufacturing, fell by 8.3 percent from a year earlier. Of the two most significant sub-sectors, the volume of production of batteries and dry cells fell by 20 percent, while the production of electric motors, power generators, distribution and control equipment increased by 6.8 percent.
