KSH: Easter and March 15 were good for tourism
In March, the number of guest nights spent by domestic guests increased by 24.5 percent, compared to the previous year, which has mainly seasonal causes, such as the 15 March long weekend and Easter – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Tuesday.
The number of nights spent by foreign guests at commercial accommodations in Hungary increased by 8.4 percent, compared to March 2015, so turnover increased by 15.8 percent overall. Total income for the accommodations increased by 15.8 percent to 25.990 billion HUF. (MTI)
