KSH: industrial production decreased by 3.9 percent in January
In January 2025, the volume of industrial production fell by 3.9 percent compared to a year earlier. The index adjusted for working days is the same as the unadjusted one. Based on seasonally and working day-adjusted data, industrial output was 0.8 percent higher than in December 2024, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Thursday, based on its first estimate.
In January 2025, the volume of production decreased in most manufacturing sub-sectors.
The KSH reported that among the most important sub-sectors, there was a decline in vehicle manufacturing, electrical equipment manufacturing, and food, beverage and tobacco manufacturing, while the production of computers, electronics, and optical products expanded.
