KSH: foreign trade balance was 318 million euros in January
In January, exports grew by 4.3, imports increased by 5.2 percent calculated in euro, compared with a year earlier – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) announced on Monday on the basis of preliminary datas.
The export surplus was 318 million euros, 39 million euros less than in last January.
However, due to changes in the exchange rate of the forint the value of exports and imports decreased by 1.4 and 0.8 percent the Central Statistics Office added.
In January, the forint was 4.5 percent stonger against the euro, while 7.2 percent stronger against the U.S.D. than a year ago.
In January, the exports were 6.465 billion euros (890 billion euros) and imports were 6.147 billion (1792 billion euros) – the KSH announced. (MTI)
