Earnings increased significantly at the beginning of the year
In January, gross and net average earnings were 13.8 percent higher than a year before, which is a six-month peak.
Growth was affected by the 8 percent increase in minimum wage and the 12 percent increase in guaranteed minimum wage, as well as wage bargaining for workers in certain state-owned public utility companies in some areas of the budget sector – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Tuesday.
