KSH: import increasing more rapidly the exports for the third month
The value of Hungarian exports calculated in euros grew by 2.3 percent in May, while imports increased with 3.7 percent, compared to the same month of the last year. The annual export growth rate was lower than imports for the third month.
In the first five months of the year exports increased by 4.1 percent, while imports by 3.9 percent, compared to the previous year – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Friday, on the basis of detailed data of foreign trade. The numbers differ slightly from the initial estimate that was published on 9 July. (MTI)
