KSH: the growth of consumption accelerated in October
The growth in retail sales accelerated in October, the volume of retail sales exceeded by 5.2 percent from a year earlier after the 4.5 percent increase of September, according to the calendary adjusted data – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) announced on Friday. The unadjusted index also indicated an increase of 5.2 percent.
The KSH's second estimate that was published on Friday confirmed the preliminary data presented at the beginning of the month.
In October, mainly in the non-food retail and fuel demand accelerated on an annual comparison, by 6.6 and 6.5 percent increas in sales. The food sales after the 2.4 percent growth of September increased by 3.7 percent in October. (MTI)
