KSH: accelerated growth in retail sales in November
The volume of retail sales was 4.3 percent higher in November 2013, than in November 2012. The calendar- adjusted datas show a 4.8 percent increase. These datas indicate a significant increase in consumption, compared to the previous month's 2.5 percent growth rates.
According to its second preliminary report the Central Statistics Office (KSH), minimally adjusted its the first estimate, that was published on 8 January. According to more recent detailed datas, the volume ofr food sales surpassed the data of the previous year by 4.3 (4.5) percent, while the turnover of non-food products increased by 4.9 (4.8) percent, while fuel consumption was 5.0 (5.0) percent higher than in November 2012 .
