KSH: imports grew stronger than exports in February
In the second month of the year, the forint value of imports growth exceeded the forint value increase of exports. Imports increased by 9.5, exports by 6.3 percent, compared to the values of the high, base period – announced the Central Statistical Office (CSO), the preliminary foreign trade datas on Friday.
According to the first estimates, in February, the value of export was 1930 billion HUF (6.605 billion euros), while the value of import was 1,733 billion HUF (5.915 billion euros). Calculated in euros, import and export values have remained almost unchanged compared to the same period of 2011.
The trade balance in February 2012 showed a surplus of 198 billion HUF, which represent a 36 billion HUF deterioration of the balance, compared to the same period of last year. (MTI)
