KSH: the foreign producttrade deficit was 117 million euros in February

In February, the value of exports in euros increased by 18.7 percent and that of imports by 30.5 percent. Compared to January, the adjusted volume of exports increased by 2.0 percent and that of imports by 2.7 percent, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Monday based on its second estimate.
The foreign trade balance deteriorated by 902 million euros, compared to February last year, showing a deficit of 117 million euros up 26 million euros from the first estimate.
The volume of exports was 3.7 percent and that of imports 5.8 percent higher than a year before.
The price level of foreign trade in goods increased by 14.3 percent in exports and by 23.1 percent in imports, compared to the same month of the previous year. (MTI)
