KSH: The turnover of retail stores decreased on an annual basis
In September, retail trade turnover fell by 1.6 percent year-on-year and by 2.0 percent year-on-year, according to raw data. Compared to August, the seasonally and calendar-adjusted volume of retail store turnover increased by 1.0 percent, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Thursday.
In grocery and food-type mixed retail stores, turnover rose again by 2.0 percent after a minimal decline of 0.2 percent from the previous month. The sales volume of food-type mixed stores, which account for 75 percent of food retail, increased by 2.2 percent, and that of food, beverages, and tobacco specialty stores by 0.6 percent. (MTI)
