The price of eggs increasing dynamically

In January, the increase of agricultural producer prices has stopped, the producer price level of agricultural products was only 0.3 percent hiigher, compared to the previous year's level – the Central Statistical Office informed MTI on Tuesday.

According to the Communication, the price of crop products fell by 6.2 percent, while live animals and animal products increased by 15.3 percent, compared to January 2011.

The price of cereals was 6.1 percent lower in January 2012, compared to January 2011.

The price of animal products was 14.9 higher than a year before. The price of milk increased by 11.6, the price of eggs was 22.5 percent higher than a year earlier. The latter is a significant increase. According to the Central Statistical Office this can be associated with the  more stringent EU regulations of breeding hens. (MTI)
