KSH: the foreign trade surplus in goods was 458 million euros in December
In December last year, the volume of exports was 1.9 percent lower and that of imports was 9.8 percent lower than in the same period of the previous year. The surplus amounted to 458 million euros, and the balance improved by 756 million euros compared to the previous year. The adjusted volume of exports was 0.1 percent higher and that of imports was 0.3 percent lower than in November, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Wednesday, based on its second estimate.
In December, the value of exports was 10.2 billion euros (4,197 billion forints), and that of imports was 9.7 billion euros (4,008 billion forints). Compared to the previous year, the value of exports in euros decreased by 0.9 percent and that of imports by 8.0 percent. Adjusted for calendar effects, the volume of ex.
