KSH: retail sales decreased in February
After the slight increase of January (0.6 percent), retail sales in February fell by 1.4 percent, so in the first two monthsof the year, retail sales were 0.4 percent lower, than in the same period of 2011 – Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Tuesday.
In February 2012, in the national retail network, mail order and Internet retail 552 billion HUF turnover was realized, in the first two months 1113 billion HUF.
According to KSH, the sales decrease of gas stations, technical and furniture shops played a crucial role in the decline decrease, while food sales increased by 1.4 percent compared to the sales of the first two months of last year. (MTI)
