Export value declined in April
In April, exports in euro were 1.6 percent lower, while imports were 0.4 percent lower than in the same period of last year, after the 19.0 and 21.3 percent increase of March. The changes could have been affected by the fact that there were three fewer working days in April this year than a year before – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported its first estimate on Thursday.
The 878 million euros export surplus of April is 98 million euros less than in the previous year.
Exports in April amounted to 7.813 billion euros, down significantly from the 8.134 billion euros of February and the 9.474 billion euros of March. Imports amounted to 6,935 billion in April, which is the lowest this year, and is particularly far from the record 8,495 billion euros in March. (MTI)
