KSH: the cattle stock increased in the second half of 2016
The growth of the cattle population that is lasting since 2010 has continued. In the six months until 1 December, the number of cattle increased by 6 thousand.
The pig population decreased by 138 thousand, sheep stocks by 69 thousand, while the number of chicken decreased by 4 million 524 thousand in this period – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Wednesday.
Until last December, compared to the previous year the cattle population increased by 17.5 thousand to 838 thousand, while the number of pigs in the same period after a 237 thousand decrease declined to 2 million 887 thousand. (MTI)
