KSH: industrial producer prices in July did not change compared to the previous month, exceeding the level a year earlier by an average of 4.5 percent
In July 2025, industrial producer prices exceeded the previous year’s values by an average of 4.5 percent. Domestic sales prices exceeded the previous year’s values in July by 1.6 percent and export sales prices by 5.9 percent, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) told MTI on Monday.
According to the statement, compared to the previous month, domestic sales prices increased by 0.4 percent, export sales prices decreased by 0.1 percent, so industrial producer prices remained unchanged overall.
In July 2025, compared to the previous year, domestic sales prices increased by an average of 1.6 percent, within this, they increased by 2.8 percent in the manufacturing industry, which accounts for 62.7 percent, while they decreased by 0.6 percent in the energy industry (electricity, gas, steam supply, air conditioning), which accounts for 35.4 percent. The sales prices of the food industry increased by 6.8 percent.
Among the groups of sectors by purpose, prices rose by 0.3 percent in the domestic energy and secondary consumption sectors, 3.5 percent in the capital goods sector, and 5.4 percent in the consumer goods sector.
Industrial export sales prices were 5.9 percent higher, including 3.1 percent in the manufacturing sector, which accounts for 91.8 percent, and 12.7 percent in the energy sector, which accounts for 8.0 percent, they wrote.
They also reported that in January-July 2025, domestic sales prices were 4.1 percent higher and export sales prices were 8.4 percent higher compared to January-July 2024, so industrial producer prices rose by 7.0 percent overall.
