KSH: industrial producer prices in September 2025 were on average 0.4 percent lower than the previous month and 2.4 percent higher than a year earlier
In September 2025, industrial producer prices were on average 2.4 percent higher than a year earlier. Domestic sales prices increased by 0.5 percent and export sales by 3.3 percent compared to September of the previous year, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Friday.

Compared to the previous month, domestic sales prices decreased by 0.5 percent, export sales prices by 0.3 percent, so industrial producer prices decreased by 0.4 percent overall.
In September, domestic sales prices increased by an average of 0.5 percent compared to September 2024, within this, they were 2.2 percent higher in the manufacturing industry, which represents a weight of 62.7 percent, while they were 2.4 percent lower in the energy industry (electricity, gas, steam supply, air conditioning) with a weight of 35.4 percent. The sales prices of the food industry increased by 6.1 percent.
Among the groups of sectors by purpose, domestically, the energy and secondary consumption sectors decreased by 0.9 percent, while prices increased by 2.4 percent in the capital goods sector and 5.1 percent in the consumer goods sector.
Industrial export sales prices were 3.3 percent higher, within this, prices increased by 1.3 percent in the manufacturing sector, which accounts for 91.8 percent, and by 5.4 percent in the energy sector, which accounts for 8.0 percent.
In January-September, domestic sales prices were 3.4 percent higher and export sales prices were 7.2 percent higher, so industrial producer prices increased by 6.0 percent overall compared to January-September 2024.
