KSH: industrial producer prices in June 2024 rose by 2.7 percent compared to a year earlier and by 1.5 percent compared to the previous month
In June 2024, industrial producer prices were on average 2.7 percent higher compared to a year earlier. Domestic sales prices decreased by 0.2 percent, export sales increased by 4.2 percent, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Wednesday.
Compared to the previous month, domestic sales prices increased by 1.2 percent, export sales prices by 1.7 percent, so industrial producer prices were overall 1.5 percent higher.
Among the domestic sales prices, they rose by 2.9 percent in the manufacturing industry, which represented 60.0 percent of the weight, and decreased by 6.5 percent in the energy industry (electricity, gas, steam supply, air conditioning) with a weight of 38.6 percent. Sales prices in the food industry were 2.7 percent lower.
The KSH added: among the designated groups of sectors, domestically, the prices in the energy and further consumption sectors fell by a combined 1.4 percent, in those producing investment goods, prices rose by 5.6 percent, and in those producing consumer goods by 0.6 percent.
Industrial export sales prices were 4.2 percent higher, within which they rose by 5.6 percent in the manufacturing industry, which accounted for 82.9 percent, and fell by 5.8 percent in the energy industry, which accounted for 16.7 percent.
