KSH: industrial producer prices in February 2024 decreased by 4.3 percent compared to a year earlier, and increased by 0.5 percent compared to the previous month
In February 2024, industrial producer prices were on average 4.3 percent lower compared to a year earlier. Domestic sales prices fell by 5.8 percent, export sales by 3.5 percent, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Tuesday.
Compared to the previous month, domestic sales prices increased by 0.7 percent, export sales prices by 0.3 percent, so industrial producer prices rose by 0.5 percent overall.
Domestic sales prices were on average 5.8 percent lower than last February, including 2.0 in the manufacturing industry, which represents 60.0 percent, and 14.1 in the energy industry (electricity, gas, steam supply, air conditioning), which accounts for 38.6 percent. decreased by percent. The sales prices of the food industry decreased by 6.7 percent.
