In December 2023, industrial producer prices were on average 7.2 percent lower compared to a year earlier. Domestic sales prices fell by 3.6 percent, export sales by 8.9 percent. Compared to the previous month, domestic sales prices decreased by 0.6 percent, export sales prices decreased by 0.8 percent, so industrial producer prices also decreased overall, by 0.7 percent, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Wednesday.
In 2023, domestic sales prices rose by 25.4 percent, export sales prices fell by 0.7 percent, so industrial producer prices were 7.8 percent higher than in 2022.
In December 2023, compared to December 2022, domestic sales prices were on average 3.6 percent lower, including 3.1 percent in the manufacturing industry, which represents 65 percent, and 5.6 percent in the energy industry (electricity, gas, steam supply, air conditioning), which accounts for 30 percent. was the decrease. The sales prices of the food industry decreased by 3.6 percent.
