KSH: exports increased by nearly 19 percent, imports increased by 18 percent in May
The value of exports in euro increased by 18.8 percent while imports by 18.4 percent in May compared to the same period of last year, according to a first estimate of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) released on Friday.
The export surplus of 913 million euros (283 billion forints) in May was 170 million euros (49 billion forints) higher than in the year before. In April, exports in euros were 1.9 percent lower, while imports were 0.6 percent lower than the year before, following an impressive 19.0 and 21.3 percent rise in March. (MTI)
