KSH: industrial production fell by 7.3 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and by 2.3 percent compared to the previous month
In August 2025, the volume of industrial production fell by 7.3 percent, or 4.6 percent, adjusted for working day effects, compared to a year earlier. Based on seasonally and working day adjusted data, industrial output was 2.3 percent lower than in July 2025, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Tuesday, based on its first estimate.

In all but one of the manufacturing sub-sectors, production volume decreased compared to the same month of the previous year. Among the most important sub-sectors, output fell significantly in vehicle manufacturing, while the production of computer, electronic and optical products expanded.
In the first eight months of the year, industrial production was 3.9 percent lower than in the same period of 2024.
Seasonally and working day-adjusted industrial output decreased by 2.3 percent compared to the previous month, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced.
