KSH: industrial production decreased by 1.0 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, expanded by 2.0 percent compared to the previous month
In July 2025, the volume of industrial production fell by 1.0 percent compared to a year earlier. The index adjusted for working days is the same as the unadjusted index, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Friday, based on its first estimate.
Based on seasonally and working day adjusted data, industrial output was 2.0 percent higher than in June 2025.
The volume of production decreased in most of the manufacturing sub-sectors compared to the same month of the previous year. Among the most important sub-sectors, there was an increase in vehicle manufacturing, food, beverage and tobacco manufacturing, and computer, electronic and optical product manufacturing, while the production of electrical equipment decreased.
In the first seven months of the year, industrial production was 3.5 percent lower than in the same period of 2024.
The KSH will publish detailed data on industrial production for July on September 12, based on its second estimate.
