In September 2023, the volume of industrial production was 7.3 percent lower than a year earlier, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Monday based on its second estimate.
Adjusted for the working day effect, production fell by 5.8 percent. Based on seasonally and working day-adjusted data, industrial output was 1.2 percent higher than in August 2023, KSH wrote.

Exports of vehicle production, representing 33 percent of manufacturing export sales, increased by 3.4 percent, and the production of electrical equipment, which accounted for 15 percent, increased by 5.1 percent.
The domestic sales of industry fell by 16.4 percent, and that of the manufacturing industry by 6.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
