KSH: 60 percent of the country's agricultural land is used by individual farmers
Hungary has 6 million hectares of productive land area of which 4.5 million hectares are farmlands, of which 60 percent is used by individual farms – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) told MTI.
Tóth Péter rural development, agricultural and environmental statistics department consultant of the KSH told M1 news channel that this year 416 thousand private farms, and 9 thousand agricultural enterprises carried out agricultural activities in Hungary. He also drew attention to the fact that the KSH in its research has considered it individual farm, if someone has a larger livestock or use 1500 square meters of arable land. (MTI)
