KSH: agricultural prices continued to fall in April
Agricultural producer prices were 8.9 percent lower in April than a year earlier, after the price of vegetable products decreased by 13.6 percent and the price of live animals and animal products rose by 0.9 percent – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Friday.
As in the same period of the last year, this year the rate of inflation decrease is slowing down month by month. The price of cereals in March decreased by 20.2 percent, while in April declined by 17.1 percent, compared to a year earlier. The procurement price of wheat was 56,100 per ton, the price of maize was 49,400 HUF per ton. This means a decrease of 13.8 and 18.7 percent. (MTI)
