KSH: imports grew faster than exports in April
The value of exports calculated in euros increased by 8.8 percent in April, while the value of imports increased by 9.7 percent.
The export surplus was 497 million euros, 16 million euros less than in April 2014 – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Friday,.
The first estimate of the Central Statistical Office (KSH), released on 8 June projected a higher export growth of 8.9 percent and 9.3 percent import growth, so the export surplus was expected to be 37 million euros higher; 534 million euros. (MTI)
