In April, the number of guest nights decreased by 97 percent
In April, as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the number of nights spent by foreign guests in commercial accommodation fell by 98.7 percent and the number of nights spent by domestic guests decreased by 95.0 percent year-on-year. The turnover of accommodation establishments decreased by 97.0 percent, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Friday.
The total gross sales revenue of commercial accommodation establishments, calculated at current prices, was 97.3 percent lower than in April last year, falling from 42.9 billion HUF to 1.2 billion HUF.
In April, most commercial accommodation establishments were shut down due to measures caused by the coronavirus pandemic. (MTI)
