KSH: retail sales in April increased by 3.4 percent
The volume of retail sales in April increased by 3.4 percent, compared to a year before, similarly to the preliminary estimates – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) revealed the released revised detailed data, published on KSH’s website on Tuesday.
The calendary effect adjusted volume of food purchases increased by 3.1 percent, compared with the previously reported 3.3 percent, while the purchase of non-food goods decreased by 0.2 percent instead of the predicted stagnation, however, the consumption of fuel increased by 6.5 percent, compared to the previously expected 6.3 percent.
