KSH: The number of guest nights decreased by 64.6 percent in March
As a result of the coronavirus pandemic the number of nights spent by foreign guests in commercial accommodation fell by 68.1 percent in March and the number of nights spent by domestic guests by 61.0 percent, compared to the same period of last year, with a total decrease of 64.6 percent – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced.
The number of foreign guests decreased by 73.6 percent and that of domestic guests by 63.5 percent, with a total of 68.3 percent fewer guests staying overnight in accommodation establishments.
The total gross sales revenue of commercial accommodation establishments at current prices was 59.7 percent lower, amounting to 14.2 billion HUF, the revenue from accommodation fees decreased by 61.2 percent and the revenue from hospitality by 61.6 percent. (MTI)
